• If you wish to discuss the progress of your child at any time of the year,
please make an appointment with the class teacher.
FIELD TRIPS
• In certain classes, field trips and excursions are authorized
and may be taken as an extension of the classroom to
contribute to the achievement of the educational goals of
the school.
• If a field trip is required for a course, students are expected
to attend the field trip. Absences in other classes or school
activities due to attendance on field trips or excursions are
considered excused absences.
• While on field trips, we expect the students to be at their best behavior
as they are considered as the ambassadors of Epistemo and
representatives of the school.
• Students must treat employees, chaperones and guides with respect and
courtesy.
• Each student will also need either a signed field trip permission slip on
file in the office or a parental signature stating approval of the trip.
• Parents will also be asked to give their consent through the ERP.
STUDENT LEADERSHIP
• Lemurs have many opportunities to take on leadership
roles within the school.
• They can be elected as School prefects and act as role
models in the school community and undertake
leadership responsibilities as required.
• The Prefects are elected by teachers based on the
presentation made by the lemur and hold their post for
one year.
• Prefect meetings Principal being a part takes place once
in a semester to enable the students to come together and discuss school
improvement and welfare issues.
• The school also follows the Buddies Program where the higher grade
lemur is expected to help their younger peers in various activities like
reading, guiding, counselling, conflict resolution etc.
• Epistemo has clubs to bring in leadership in lemurs through co-
scholastic programs like the Civic literacy, robotics, entrepreneurship,
literary program, work education and motivational talks.
