• Complaints could be from different stake holders and in different areas
such as academic, communications services provided such as transport,
food, uniforms or teaching-learning or discipline at school.
• Disciplinary action includes counselling, withdrawal of the lemur’s
privileges, isolation, time-out, short and long- term suspension or
expulsion of students.
• If a lemur is victim to any of the mentioned misbehavior, he needs to
report the matter to his class- teacher and in turn it will be reported to
the discipline committee that will investigate the issue and take the
required action.
• There is a discipline report in the ERP and the parent can check the
behavioral record of their ward.
• Internal issues being raised by students/teachers, a suggestion box and
complaint register would be provided at the front desk. The complaint
could be recorded there or orally intimated to the front desk.
• The parents could send a written note to class teacher or speak to the PR
or mail to the school. All complaints would be addressed and solved
rationally within 48 – 72 hours of being lodged to ensure quality.
EMERGENCY DRILLS
• Periodically the school holds emergency fire and earth quake drills. At the
beginning of each term, teachers notify students of the procedures to
follow in the event of a drill.
• Emergency procedures and proper exit areas are posted in all rooms.
• Students are expected to remain quiet and orderly during a drill or an
emergency.
• Students who pull the fire alarm or call in false alarms, in addition to
being disciplined under the school policies, rules and regulations, may be
reported to law enforcement officials.
• Never leave school with your child without signing him or her out at the
office. If an emergency happens, staff will perform established
accountability procedures in order to locate each child.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
• The school has a very proactive policy on student health and safety.
• The school would record the developmental milestones of the students
at entry level and report concerns to the parents if observed.
• The school would organize annual checkup for eye, ear, and oral hygiene.
The height/weight would be recorded twice a year.
• The school has a well-equipped sick bay for emergency treatment of the
child in case of any sickness in school. A nurse would be on duty during
school hours.
